PERSONAL CODE OF A CANCER SURVIVOR:
- PLEASE don't ask God "Why me?"; but ask your creator to help you to cope with and survive this challenge.
- FORGIVE every SOB who ever caused you suffering, misery, pain,
humiliation, embarrassment, or loss of any kind. They acted in ignorance and through EVIL. YOU ARE TO FORGIVE AND FORGET IT!
- Promise yourself to start getting "Out" of yourself. Don't focus on
this hopefully temporary physical condition. What you do with your mind and your heart and your emotions is controlled by you and you
alone...and maybe your body will follow your "positive" tract.
- Give something back. I chose to become a Hospice Volunteer, and I bless this opportunity.
- QUIET our mind: I chose Mozart, poetry, watercoloring and acrylics.
- QUIET YOUR BODY: I chose swimming, Tai Chi, and aromatherapy.
- Honor other creatures: I feed birds, raccoons, lizards, and
butterflies!
- Give time to Nature. I watch 6 purple water hyacinths bloom in an
old iron pot; I planted bird seed and loved what happened; I planted "crab boil" and couldn't believe what happened.
- Invest in strangers. Last week I gave a tank of gas to three
stranded motorists at a Texaco station.
- Don't crawl into a shell. Move back into the world. We are ALL
WOUNDED IN SOME WAY. Stand tall 'til you travel into "forever."
My latest interest is Feng Shui, and I find it very rewarding and
interesting, and oh, so, soothing.
Have a happy forever......Dorothy+++
